Description of the role:

Oxfam Retail Charity Shop - Volunteer – Online Listing Assistant (Over 18)

We sell our most valuable, weird, and wonderful things through Oxfam's own online shop. Working from our stock room, you’ll help us raise money to fight poverty and inequality.

You will develop online retail experience and learn many transferable skills, building your CV and confidence. No experience needed as training will be given.

We usually we ask for 4 - 8 hours per week. We can be very flexible around parenting / caring / health / employment / education and any other commitments you have. Some travel and lunch expenses can be covered too. If you have a couple of hours to give to Oxfam, then we'd like to hear from you. (Please Note we are unable to take under 18’s at present due to our shops bieng at capacity with a waiting list.)

The role involves:
• Researching / valuing items online
• Photographing items
• Writing descriptions for items
• Dispatching orders
• Computer skills

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

An interest in computers would be an advantage and some computer knowledge but is not necessary as full training is given.

Practical information:

We operate 4 hour shifts 9am - 1pm and 1 -5pm , but we are very flexible and if you can only do 10am to 2pm or even just a couple of hours that is fine with us.
