Harrogate & Ripon CVS - Supporting Charities and Volunteers to make our district a great place to live and work!
From 1 April 2013 the newly joined Harrogate and Ripon Centres for Voluntary Service supports charities and volunteers across the entire Harrogate District.

The previously separate Councils for Voluntary Service have a combined 75 years of experience and have always worked closely together. Over the past 18 months trustees from both boards have been exploring how to ensure this vital support work is best managed in order to be sustainable and provide the best service to groups across the District.
Charities and people interested in volunteering are now able to access support and advice from teams based in both Harrogate and Ripon.
How Harrogate & Ripon CVS can help?

We provide information, support and advice on all aspects of setting up and running a successful charity, community group or social enterprise in the Harrogate District.

We manage the Harrogate & Ripon Volunteer Centre, which matches individuals to volunteer opportunities and provides support to organisations which involve volunteers.

We manage projects including H.E.L.P, Talking Spaces the Ripon and Rural Wellbeing Service and Boroughbridge Community Care which provide valuable services to vulnerable people.

We direct members of the public to local support groups, interest groups, community events and charities.
