Webmaster/Internet Developers
Orb Community Arts
Description of the role:

Do you have the skills to design, manage or maintain an active web-site and help us maximise the potential of our online presence? Orb's webpage is constantly in need of updating and developing to reflect the depth and breadth of our facilities, promote our services and provide a public space in which to showcase the volunteer done by our service-users and volunteers. If you would like experience helping develop an active website or feel you could take our site to the next level, please get in touch.

Skills and qualities needed for the role:

There are no formal qualifications required for this role, but clearly we are looking for IT related skills and competence. Experience in website design would be an advantage, as would the ability to manage and develop a computer netvolunteer. We are particularly interested in volunteers with an interest in website design and development

Practical information:

Volunteers would be based at our main office and studio at the Garage, Elephant and Castle Yard in Knaresborough.

Organisation Information

Orb promotes positive mental health and provides better life opportunities to those experiencing poor mental health through engagement in creative activities, learning, performance and volunteering. Whether it be art, music, singing, cooking, growing food, writing, photography, film making or learning IT basics, Orb helps people overcome isolation, build skills and confidence, improve their well-being and play a valued role in the local community. Everyone has mental health - sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad - and Orb works to help keep people well in the community as well those experiencing longer term problems. Whether you want to access support or maybe volunteer, it's always worth getting in touch.
