IT Tutor

IT Tutor
Orb Community Arts
Description of the role:

Orb now has it's own fully networked, dedicated IT Suite and is offering an increasing amount of supported ITC learning to service users. Now a registered UK Online centre, we're very keen to recruit a number of volunteers to help us deliver Go On courses, an online series of short modules that allow people with little or no IT skills to get used to using computers, get online safely and become full members of the digital society. We'd also like to hear from anyone who could offer supported learning to people with previous experience in more involved programmes involving film, photography, music, desk-top publishing, web design or in new areas we've yet to offer.

Practical information:

Ideally for one 3 hour session per week.

Organisation Information

Orb promotes positive mental health and provides better life opportunities to those experiencing poor mental health through engagement in creative activities, learning, performance and volunteering. Whether it be art, music, singing, cooking, gardening, growing food, creative writing, photography, film-making or learning IT basics, Orb helps people overcome isolation, build skills and confidence, improve their well-being and play a valued role in the local community. Everyone has mental health - sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad - and Orb works to help keep people well in the community as well those experiencing longer term problems. Whether you want to access support or maybe volunteer, it's always worth getting in touch.
