If you interested in conservation grazing and the countryside you could work with the Ranger team and grazer as a livestock checker. You would help look after livestock by regularly counting them on the moor as well as checking troughs, gates and fences.
You'll need to be passionate about the outdoors and fit enough for a long walk. Ideally you'll be interested in conservation grazing and livestock though this isn't essential.
You'll be provided with the necessary induction and training. Access to a vehicle to get to Brimham Rocks will be essential and we'll support you with agreed expenses to help cover the cost of travel between home and Brimham Rocks. Typical time commitment will be half a day per week or as much as you can offer.

Fountains Abbey is owned by the National Trust. One of the most fascinating and historic sites in the whole of Europe. Cistercian Abbey, 18th century Water Garden, Elizabethan Hall and Deer Park. A World Heritage site. The range of voluntary work available is almost limitless and much of it takes place all year round.
