Accessibility Statement

The Harrogate & District Community Action site has been built using Drupal to comply with the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

We are committed to continually improving the website to meet legislation and guidelines.

Browser Upgrades

We have tried to make our website compatible with all browsers. However, if you are using an older browser, our pages may not be presented in the best possible way. It may help you to download a newer version of a browser.

The following are available to download for free:

Mozilla Firefox    Google Chrome      Safari      Internet Explorer

Text

All text is legible and readable with good size and contrast, and appears even if JavaScript is disabled.

Text in images is avoided where possible, but where text is present in an image it is always available in the ALT tags.

We use Plain English as much as possible.

Should you need to, most browsers enable you to change the text size – you can see information for Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox here and instructions for Google Chrome are here.

Downloading and opening documents

All documents which are available to download from the site are in Portable Document Format (PDF) and can be read through the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
